Environmental Policy
At James Stewart we have a serious commitment to the environment and in an attempt to reduce our carbon footprint have aquired FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) accreditation.
FSC accreditation means we are able to trace paper back to its origin, a controlled and carefully sourced, well managed forest. PEFC is a global umbrella organisation for the assessment of and mutual recognition of national forest certification schemes.
By choosing James Stewart you are demonstrating your commitement to the environment, and the selection of FSC material will allow you to display the FSC logo on all your print, demonstrating your green credentials to your clients and quite often at no extra cost.
We encourage the use of recycled paper and source other paper grades from sustainable forests. The majority of paper we use is either totally chlorine free or elemental chlorine free.
All waste paper, printing plates and waste inks are collected by specialist environmental waste management companies for recycling. We even recycle the cloths used to clean our presses!
Complete control over all aspects of print, combined with FSC environmental accreditation and ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification makes James Stewart the responsible print solution.
